which wheels?

so over the winter i picked up the mk2 that was for sale on the boards...

now im looking into some different wheels for it, and having a hell of a time deciding.


the car

wheels im debating are

keskin kt1
keskin kt5
schmidt space line
....

problem is that i am going back to school and cant afford to spend 400+ on a nice 3pc wheel if i want to get coils as well.

just looking for some opinions or suggestions that could help

You picked up a pretty sick ride, but in my opinion, I would leave the rims you have on there. I think KT1's look better on mk3's than mk2's, and the other wheels arent really my style. But to each their own so whatever you do, keep that car lookin good!!!

check out www.tunershop.com if you want some more ideas. They have some nice rims and usually have some pics of the rims on different cars. Might give you a new perspective of something you couldnt imagine

Thats true, plus the fact that almost everyone has them. No doubt they are one of the nicest styles out there, but i'm a big fan of originality and owning something that nobody else has!

I agree that the rx's already look good. On the other hand...I'd love to see it with some 15x8 Schmidt modern lines.

i was thinking 16x9 et15 maybe 16x7.5 up front, then slam it on those with some fks or ksports

I can probably count on my one hand how many people in Calgary (city of a million people) that run RS's on their VW. I hate when people say that everyone has them. Sure on vortex there are a lot but not here in Calgary!!!

I'd try find some nice 3 piece moderlines in 16x9. Although I think your current RX's look great as well!!

the "everyone has BBS RS" statement is kinda retarded. enough about that.

the wheels that are on the car are quite nice... but as for another reasonably priced wheel,.. the new schmidt modernline is pretty nice.

3pce modernlines are more than th lines hhaha.. it would be the 1 peice modernlines.

i like the wheels that are on it right now. but they just dont have enough dish. ive wanted a slammed 2 on nice dishy wheels or so long that now it can become a reality

Agreed when talking about calgary, but I was talking about everywhere in general. If you look on the internet, ALOT of the really nice vw's have rs's. And like I said they are a beautiful wheel, but imo they have just gotten old and everyone has seen them. I like seeing a car that is one of a kind.

And its not quite like you make it seem. Calgary may be a city of a million people, but how many of those million own a vw, and how many of those that own a vw, like to customize it with rims and what not?
