We priced out a decently equipped Fit for 19.5 so they have to price it right. The Accent, Versa and Fit were all within 1000 of each other. The $$ rule this segment.

I still have my sales receipt for a 1987 Fox wagon. $10,458.
At the time, the big deal was that the base model was under $10,000.

And my 1986 Jetta GL was $13,380

1988 jetta sold for about 17,000 with winter package but very stock.
mind you these were all employee pricing.

the fox 2 door came in base at under 6000.00
plus PDI 560.00
Frieght 400.00
this was a sedan and no radio.
2 year warranty unlimited km's..

WOW that POLO looks really nice.. I would totaly buy that for a work/winter head to the hills car. And all it would need is a nice 2 inch drop hehe
