  • Help: Flashing Blue coolant sensor light in 2000 Bug 2.0l

Hey guys the girlie's bug started acting up, and the coolant sensor started to flash blue in the gauge cluster. she is out of town so its hard for me to diagnose the problem without seeing the car. Does anyone have any experience in this area? its that little water temperature symbol i guess. any ideas fire away

well if it comes on blue (solid, not flashing) it means your engine is not up to temperature yet, when it turns off, it means it is. cause beetles don't have a coolant gauge. if it lights up orange/red it means its overheating.

but if its flashing i dunno, maybe low coolant as ryan says.

check level, top up if required, otherwise replace 4-pin blue and o-ring, cheap and easy to do. Never seen a blue flashing temp symbol, also check strength!!!!! cause it's damn cold!!!!!
