Hey Guys this is my first time on this forum and I don't exactly have the sort of car you guys have. It is a 1986 Jetta. She does me good at 220000 KMs but right now the fuel system is messed up pretty badly and I get to drive my Mom's 99 Grand Am:mrsly:

Anyways, the only thing I really plan on doing to the car is a few exterior changes like the rear lights and mabye a big bumper conversion. If anyone has any suggestions about other things to make my car look spiffy or spunky give a reply as they are always welcome.

Welcome -- post up a pic of your ride.

The question is... what do YOU want to do with your car? Nitrous perhaps?

Damnit... I want nitrious... I have an addiction with the funny gas....

      NITROUS!!!!

Nah, any suggestions for the old one is all I really need and I'll see if it fits my crappy Pizza Hut budget.

And my Dad doesn't want me to really do anything to the car but it IS mine so meh.

Ahh... an 86 Jetta... that was my first car. It was a burgandy Carat edition with the brown interior and the ski-boot. Man I loved that car - until it got written off by a very bad hail storm (it was a mess). Those things had the best heaters. I have great memories of driving home from skiing at Fortress Mountain and making grilled cheese sandwiches on the defroster. It would actually toast the bread!

My 16 yr old nephew actually has one too. I know he did the exaust on it and I think he added a performance cam and intake. It goes pretty good especially in the mid range. Drop by Concept-1 and check out the goodies for sale if you haven't already.

As for nitrous, I'd stay away from it unless you have money to spend or a second car. I'll never forget seeing a hood blow off an old Civic at a stop light right after the guy hit the nitrous. There wasn't much left of the engine either.

Edit: second thought - nah, go for the nitrous... it would be too cool

Oh man, I just got home and I am done so tired.

Holksvagon, I would LOVE to buy that GTI in the sig but I have no money :(

Simon, I work at the Brentwood Pizza Hut.

I have been to Concept 1 and have seen the stuff that they have there and considering the age of my car, they stock a lot of stuff which is pretty cool.

But anyway, I won't be able to get a pic of my car for a while, which sucks but when I can (should be early next week) I'll slap it on a post and you guys can oogle at my mad 86 JETTA POWER!!!

If you're at SAIT, stop into the Crandell building and say Hi, or just wave next time you see a red '95 vr6 go by.

Mark right now I am doing ELEC 244 in the Thomas Riley Building and I am marking my own test. woo.

I have never seen your GTI so I was wondering where you park?

If at SAIT or if somewhere else I dunno but I would love to see ride some time.

So keep on this board and we might be able to meet up sometime so if you wanna do anything then keep posting!!
