  • R32 at southcentre fine cars

So I had some time to burn this afternoon and ended up at scfc, low and behold there is a mk5 R32 in the showroom. Pretty sweet car, amazing interior, very sharp looking in person. New bumper laws ftw!

Grossly overpriced at $42k, oh and its used with 17xxxkms.

Yep and yep, its not too hard to find a dealer south of the border that will sell a brand new r32 for under $30k usd. They seem to be rotting on the lots down there what with the economy, price of gas etc.

I spotted it a little while back sitting on the lot and checked the web inventory and it was listed as just under $46K so they have lowered the price already. I still wouldn't mind one, but yes you can find far better examples for easily under 30K us. They even are included in the sign and drive event going on down there at the moment.

Too bad Canadians can't apply for that program.....

Pretty sure it was in kms, I dunno if the cluster can be converted from miles to kms or what.

Funny how dealerships will try to rake you over the coals for having the nerve to buy outside the country but they themselves will do it.

Yea I realize that dealers need to make money but to think they likely paid not much more than $20k for the car, duty, shipping, couple hun for detailing. I doubt they're into it for more than $25k, quite the markup.

Thats an insane amount of money for an R32

Truth be told, the MK5 R32 doesn't appeal to me as much as the MK4 R32. I'd rather buy a used MK4 R32 and mod it nicely for a fraction of the cost for that MK5.

                      The MK5 is blah

I agree MK4 R32 is some how just a cooler looking and kinda the pioneer in first generation model even though new one might be better and more refinded.food for thought....

Common now. There is no way they got the car for $20K!! I would guess by looking on the tex, they bought the car for around $26-$27K plus all fees, duty and tax. Plus the dollar isn't even close to par anymore. Sure there is still a pretty substantial markup but its unlikely anyone will actually pay what they are asking.
