        Let them check "AS-IS".

Actually, most likely that sound is normal, it is what many people refer to as your "Electronic Differential", its your car reacting to an extreme disparity between the wheels. I am assuming that this is it because it is actually quite prevalent in late model VWs that have this feature (not to be confused with the traction control). It is VWs cheapie, fake limited slip

Eugene -- from my understanding both the TDI and 2.0L do not have EDL. I thought ASR complimented EDL to be fully functional.

Anyways... I heard the sound -- something similiar to having a rock stuck inbetween the rotor and the brake pad. I'm sure we will find out soon -- I think the car is at the dealer.

We met up with Al on the weekend -- Bart went for a ride with him and reported that it was a different sound.

Damn -- so close -- yet so far. :mrscrewy: :(

The ASR has nothing to do with the EDL, and there is no way to turn off the EDL at all. You may be right about the 2.0 not having the EDL though, I really am not sure about that, but the sound you are describing is 99% of the time the EDL on EDL equipped cars.
