Wow! great info Eugene@Torquesteer, would you mind sending me some media reguarding swapping the DV. My DV seems to be honking off and on and I thinking about picking up a forge.

that is a picture of the original installation, before I reversed it.
Many people were skeptical about the reverse DV, but that is how the longitudinal VAG engines have their DV setup stock, such as the B5 platform, including the Passat. I will get a picture of the reversed DV soon.http://www.lewisvillehigh.com/pictur...ckenbaksig.jpg

If you look at the first big picture, the darker spot is where the nipple rubs against the engine cover and actually "files" down the rubber piping...which is obviously bad... there is no way around this except..
#1. remove the cover...
#2. modify the cover to allow it
#3. reverse the DV
