  • Car going through fuel really fast...

It seems like in the past couple of weeks my car has started going through fuel at an above-average rate... I think I am getting something like 2/3 of the fuel economy I was before. It might just be in my head so I am going to try tracking it for a tank... but any ideas what would cause this?

I tried it but now my car goes no where unless I push it. I am eating a lot of pizza to keep up my energy levels, because pushing a car is hard work! I would say that I am eating 2/3 more pizzas now.

Any idea how to diagnose this more specifically?

vag i guess.. is bart joking when he said add diesel to your gas.. won't that **** up you car? i don't think i would ever do that.. although my buddy wanted to fill me up with his dads helicopter gas which was like 120 octane but i thought it would blow my engine somehow

Now gas in the TDI would kick some ass for about a block and a half then it might go "POOF" at about 8000 rpm

depending on what the voltage is on your pre-cat o2 sensor I know you can get them for damn cheap right now... i bought two because they were only like $25... mine are the 1Volt type you may have the 5volt type... check it out
