Re: 2009 tiguan
I am not sure if things are available yet but there is no reason to say that you shouldn't be getting the same gains as other 2.0T vehicles which with say an Upsolute chip is 40hp. Best bet is to contact the chip provider of your choice and ask.Blair

Re: 2009 tiguan
The new Tiguan uses the CCTA engine (the newest revision of the 2.0T FSI, now the TSI)....APR is the first and only one with CCTA tuning right now.
Its technically a better engine than the BPY 2.0T I have in my GTI....balance shafts in block instead of at bottom, timing chain instead of belts, etc....oh and a different K03 version, lower compression and a WAY better HPFP. Stage 1 (chip only) shows slightly higher peak numbers for torque and hp, (way quicker spool than the BPY) sacrificing like 10hp or more off the top end for increased midrange and bottom end.

No mention of the actual 2.0T TSI in the Tiguan though.
Yes, the Audi's get the TSI now too. BUT, in longitudinal applications it also gets Audi Valvelift System (AVS) which, despite people maligning VTEC, is the same as the original VTEC (i.e. secondary-lobes on the camshafts that get shifted onto the rockers by an oil-pressure activated solenoid). Oh, did I mention it gives the 2.0T 50 more ft*lbs of torque?
But again, only in longitudinal applications.
Pretty sure Turbomeyers that Unitronic isn't in the CCTA programming game at this point. Only APR at this point and REVO is hot on their tail (but not even a beta announcement yet) because the MED1x (12.?) ecu is TOTALLY different than the MED9 the BPY motors use. At least, from the mouths of the APR guys...

Unitronic does not do CCTA (as in the new TSI) programming. Yet.Last edited by BadKenny; 09-14-2008, 10:00 PM.

There's a big list of differences so here it is:
1. Revised intake tract (no more integrated airbox in the engine cover)
2. Oil filter located on top of motor now, and uses "regular" filter, not just a casing and replaceable filter media.
3. timing chain, no more timing belt
4. balance shafts moved into the block
