I am not sure if things are available yet but there is no reason to say that you shouldn't be getting the same gains as other 2.0T vehicles which with say an Upsolute chip is 40hp. Best bet is to contact the chip provider of your choice and ask.

      canuck699,

At a light have you ever tried to turned on the Auto hold, put the gear selector into S mode and then floor the gas pedal? Have you tried it with the ESP off? The Tig is unbelievable fast for an SUV!

        Re: 2009 tiguan

The new Tiguan uses the CCTA engine (the newest revision of the 2.0T FSI, now the TSI)....APR is the first and only one with CCTA tuning right now.

Its technically a better engine than the BPY 2.0T I have in my GTI....balance shafts in block instead of at bottom, timing chain instead of belts, etc....oh and a different K03 version, lower compression and a WAY better HPFP. Stage 1 (chip only) shows slightly higher peak numbers for torque and hp, (way quicker spool than the BPY) sacrificing like 10hp or more off the top end for increased midrange and bottom end.

Mine (wife's) is the 2.0T TSI. Look at the engine pic from the Concept-1 Show-n-Shine.

No mention of the actual 2.0T TSI in the Tiguan though.

No mention of the actual 2.0T TSI in the Tiguan though.
Just pop the hood. If your engine cover says TSI, the air filter is not integrated into the engine cover (i.e. you actually have an intake pipe and airbox) you have it. And no Tiguan has the BPY engine so yes you have the TSI. VW just redid their nomenclature...

Yes, the Audi's get the TSI now too. BUT, in longitudinal applications it also gets Audi Valvelift System (AVS) which, despite people maligning VTEC, is the same as the original VTEC (i.e. secondary-lobes on the camshafts that get shifted onto the rockers by an oil-pressure activated solenoid). Oh, did I mention it gives the 2.0T 50 more ft*lbs of torque?

But again, only in longitudinal applications.
Pretty sure Turbomeyers that Unitronic isn't in the CCTA programming game at this point. Only APR at this point and REVO is hot on their tail (but not even a beta announcement yet) because the MED1x (12.?) ecu is TOTALLY different than the MED9 the BPY motors use. At least, from the mouths of the APR guys...

See second last post in thread:

                      http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4015222

Unitronic does not do CCTA (as in the new TSI) programming. Yet.

See my previous reply, yes Audi's get em, the longitudinal version are even better with AVS!!

There's a big list of differences so here it is:
                        1. Revised intake tract (no more integrated airbox in the engine cover)

                        2. Oil filter located on top of motor now, and uses "regular" filter, not just a casing and replaceable filter media.

                        3. timing chain, no more timing belt

                        4. balance shafts moved into the block

                        rest is located here:
