So my GLI didn't come with a arm rest I dunno I guess volkswagen felt like the special editions didn't need them, no clue why. Anyways I order one of ebay and it arrived today on my day off I couldn't believe my luck so as I started ripping apart my center console to attach this I come across a stripped screw its pretty mangled and I've tried every screw driver head nothing is catching this. Anyone have any idea what I can do to remove this stubborn screw. Have a picture.

its not that hard bud... try some needle nose plyers..
get in there and grip on the head and turn...
maybe an easyout if its mangled really good...
but from the pictures it just looks like you need some time and patients and it will come out... dont worry about it...

Try driving 25 hours straight with no armrest, I dont think I could have made it without it, mines always down.
Those screw extractors usually work pretty good, i would defenitly try a bigger torx bit first though.2001 Jetta Wolfsburg Edition, APR 91/93, K&N Cold Air
