    GTI 1.8T a little sluggish?

    I have been driving around town latly and I think my car may seem a little sluggish when starting from a stop. It seems like you have to give it a little more gas or less clutch than usual so it does not get all bogged down. Sorta like when your running th a/c. Its toally fine once your moving and such. Could there be something that needs a tune up? Or i could totally just be tripping out and my car is fine. Either way i thought i would ask.

    I have recently changed air filter
    changed spark plugs (factory plugs)
    Change oil and filter. (factory filter)

    Any advice would be great. Thanks!

    did you gap the spark plugs to spec? are you throwing a MIL? what RPM range is it sluggish? more details needed

      This was going on before the spark plugs were changed. I dident gap them becuase the guy at the vw parts desk said they dident need to be?

      No codes everything seems fine, just when i start off between the 1500-2500 rpm range, it seems a little sluggest any boggy but then fricken rockets once the turbo starts boosting.

      Maybe this is normal and I need to adjust my driving, or maybe just a bad bit of gas?

        Every plug should be gapped (or confirmed to be correct).

            ive jsut replugged mine withthe manufacturers recommended NGK's, i checked allt eh plug gaps n they were dead on correct.

            you havent put new / bigger wheels on have you, i know when i switch to summer mode wheels they are heavier and larger diameter and its takes a little more to get her off the line.

              Nope stock wheels and got spark plugs from dealer. (ngk) I will check the gaps i guess. Maybe its just my driving.

                Not wearing new shoes with thinner soles? youve gotta push your leg down a bit further

                  ist when its super hot out ? car has less power when hot out . hows the fuel filter and air filter .

                    have not checked the fuel filter. Air is good. Car just hit 100 k
