I think you are thinking of the R28, it was a all wheel drive converted VR6 therefor legal in Canada. I think he turbo'd it after trying to sell it a couple times.

I know that HPA was auctioning their R32 at the Barret Jackson auction about 4 or 5 years ago...it ended up selling for upwards of $60, 000 american at the time...
don't know if this is the same car.

you guys realize HPA has had more than one test mule/show car...whatever you want to call it. If you head out to their shop there is usually a parking lot half full of R32's awaiting work to be done before returning to the US.
