Does any one have an idea how to fix a vw key once those stupid medal rings snap off? I have one key that is missing it completly, and another that only one side has broken, but enough my house key falls off. Any one tryed to fix these before?

I did this a few years ago. I was able to get some stainless steel welding rod bent up so it is snug, has been working fine ever since.
Took about an hour per key to bend it up and file out where it sits.Jeff
