hi guys.... i was thinkin about shaving my trunk on my MKIV GTI... i did some research on vortex .... i was wondering how i would get my trunk open after shaving the handle.....

so far what i got at was that i need a MKIII hood latch which will enable it to pop open (after doing some tightning) when the trunk button is pressed....

ummm how would i go about doing this...... i can probably figure out shaving it... and gettin it filled and painted or what not.... i just gotta figure out how im going to open my trunk

anyways..... if you got any ideas let me know... or if anyone has done this b4 let me know how you did it... thx

hey btw if someone has a MKIII hood latch/popper sitting around hit me up'

    cheers

i dunno about a gti but i was reading about it on vortex for a jetta and a guy was asking the same thing, the vortexers flamed him for not thinking of his remote, and the button inside the car... i dont know if gti's have the hatch release inside but im assuming they do?

hahaha yaaa... thats kinda funny.. but ya... i dont think the GTI's trunks popped up on the mark IVs... i think the trunk pops up on the MKIIIs though(which is why you would use a MKIII hatch ) but ya my trunk doesn't pop open... just unlocks... ya i wish it did like they do on the jettas... but guess not...

not sure who carries them but might wanna search online and see what u come up with. Try looking up door poppers and have at it from there. Shouldnt be too hard to find one from the US.
