Rough idle, surging, CEL ... then nothing?

Alright so this morning I was coming down Sarcee and was stopped at John Laurie. While at the lights I felt my engine start to idle really roughly, as if the engine was knocking around. I pulled away from the lights and felt the power surging under a little acceleration, I stepped down a little more to give it some extra omph to try and clear up the surging. It did but then the CEL came on and flashed about five maybe six times, after which it went away and so did the surging/rough idle. I turned off anything that was using power (music, heat, etc.) and continued on my way but staying aware of any changes (if I needed to pull over and stop). No changes, it was uneventful after that.

I searched a little and found some stuff about the O2 sensor(s) maybe being blown, but I didn't smell anything or see anything since my car is black and needed to get inside for work. Plus it was and still is raining, ha.

Nope. I do however have an appointment with George next Wednesday.
So... no driving until then, ha.

Sounds good. Could be 02 sensor or MAF. Do you have a k&n filter?

That's what I'm figuring after reading through the archives here and also on the Vortex. As for a k&n filter, I haven't put one in either.

So I just picked up my car and here's what was going on.

1. Coilpack - Since it was raining there must have been a crack in the coilpack since it was arcing, thusly causing misfires.
2. O2 sensor - Burnt out.
3. As for the fuse thing from last week, turns out my vanity light housing was shorting out the circuit and he replaced the assembly.

Almost, just off bud. It wasn't the switch it was the light housing, hah. Good call though!

Thanks man, it felt damn good to drive in this morning. Crowchild seemed to just work for me and the people on the roads were staggered in such a manner that I was able to just flow trough traffic.
