  • Molded Floor Mats...

    Hey All,

I've been wanting to pick up a set of really good Molded Floor mats for the GTi this winter. The one's I've been thinking about are these ones but they're so damn expensive. Anyone know a good place to pick up a set of deep molded floor mats other than the dealership? Perhaps a group buy might be an option...

    Cheers All...

Well personally I suggest you got monster mats. I scammed my way into getting some free with my car...but I think they are quite costly, however, worth it for the winter. They are rubber and trap in all of the crap and what not.

      Hey Paul,

I'm assuming you're talking about these ones...

You're probably biased towards your Monster Mats, but do you think the molded mats would be worth the extra $35 Cdn. They seem to give much more coverage due to their depth and custom fit. I'm sure the Monster's are great... Just looking for some other opinions if anybody out there has any?

      Cheers...

Im not sure exactly how well the moulded mats fit. I mean, your seat moves forward and back, but the moulded mat doesn't? Kind of seems like it might also be harder to keep the moulded mats from getting wrecked because they are not rubber. When I get winter wheels I will also pick up the monster mats I think.

Yeah I might be up for it depending on the cost.

                  interested in the molded ones

depending on price. FWIW I hate the monsters, if they're not shockingly clean, dust kicks up off of them and ends up all over. And I mean shockingly!

I love mine a lot easier to wash the mats than Vacuum the carpet
