polished monte carlo's

How does one polish monte carlo's? what is the best method?, I assume you have to remove the clear coat before any work can be done. then can you protect then after you have the all polished up? so they dont just dull in 2 days or corrode.

you could spray them all over the place with paint stripper which will get all the paint off down to the metal then wet sand them with like 2000-4000 grit paper and use mothers billet polish from there until you can't move you arms
