Autotech Intake

hi all,

i've just installed my new autotech intake . got a little problem though. whenever i go about 1/2 throttle, i notice that there is a strange rattle that is coming from the intake. i'm not sure what it is. i think that it could be 1 of 2 things:
1 - could it be that the intake vibrates and since it is touching the housing on the front headlight (i didn't remove enough of the plastic) is causing that vibration noise?
2 - the filter is on too high or low or is not on tight enough?

any advice??

Strange... I would have to hear this rattle... cause it could be a ton of different things.

maybe its not super tight on the edge of the fender where it connects to hold it on..

i get this exact same thing with my ATP CAI. i'm pretty sure its the pipe vibrating against the the car on that opening you put it through. only thing I can think of, its the only place mine is touching.

Hmmm... Kris and I made the autotech kit super tight... it's great... no problems.

problem solved...just had to tighten that bolt that holds the intake to the frame of the car. now it whooshes instead of rattles!

my guess was correct too.. hey a thing about these metal intakes some guy on vortex posted a picture of his umm i forget the brand and from sucking up damp air it rusted the inside of the pipe which caused 3 MAFs to die on him..
