Stereo fuse ?!

... So i was trying to hook up an ipod adapter to the back of my deck and the interior lights flickered (i obviously touched some power wires); rendering the deck powerless. so obviously a blown fuse right?! well i've checked all the fuses in the panel to the left of the steering wheel as well as the 3 above the battery, and the one on the back of the deck... none are burnt.

so either i don't know where the fuse is or i've got a different issue...


any ideas?

the stock deck gets battery voltage, and turns on/off with the CANbus.
press the volume button, maybe it's powered off.

It may be damaged or something like that, maybe a dealership would be able to test the deck on their bench somehow?

if you have access to VAG-com, try to pull codes from stereo.
If it can't communicate...uh oh

Also if the ipod interface is plugged in - take it out. Maybe disconnect battery ground for a while?????
