What the hell did I do?

So I was cleaning my K&N drop in filter, I removed the casing, pulled out the filter and dropped in a Fram one I got from CDN tire earlier today. My car has the Diesel Power inline chip, and it's always worked flawlessly for me. Now the car has stock power (no performance from chip) and my CEL came on...What the hell did I do to my Car????? All the MAF wires appear to be intact. Any help?

VAGCom the CEL light.....Then you will know what is going on for sure before you start ripping things apart.

I am in Vista Heights. So like Deerfoot and 16th ish. But I can be anywhere. the car runs, and the engine light is solid.

Did it happen when you had the stock filter in or after you cleaned and reoiled the K&N? Cause if it was after you reoiled the K&N, you might have used to much oil and coated the MAF wires causing false readings to the computer.

No the K&N is still drying. It's the stock filter.

I'm thinking that its likely your MAF, changing filters might have gotten some dust shaken loose and stuck to the element.

Maf is dirty. clean it with brake cleaner and a heat gun.

I finally know what I did. Somehow my black MAF wire was severed. So It's just a quick fix there. But I will need someone with VAG to clear my CEL once I fix it. Any takers?
