I guess there's practicality arguments to why this may not be the most efficient way to get a MKiV to 200HP, on the lowest dollar.. don't you have to spend $$$ on a supercharger or turbocharger to barely get the same power output on the Golf as a 1.8T? where as you could sell it, and take that $$$ upgrade to a 1.8T GTi

But in saying that, good on you for trying an endeavor many stray away from, such as myself :P

I'm interested to read about your build.

        Cheers

You do have to spend a fair bit money to get the power, but I fiquire with more stock displacement than a 1.8t and a stage two maybe stage three I should be better that a 1.8t, besides I'm trying to be different. Not to many people buld form this platform besides the car is rust free, straight, low miles and a good platform, could of sold and bought a 1.8t, but the odds that it has been driven pretty hard are good, where as a 2.0l platform.lets just say that most grocery stores and churches down like burnouts or racing if you get what I mean.
