So my car had a CEL light for secondary air injection Po411 for about 2 months now and I was waiting till later this spring to bring it down to southgate to have them fix it for warranty. but today it disappeared I have never had a CEL just go away unless its something stupid like a gas cap loose, don't you usually have to clear the code after you have fixed the problem. anyways thought it was Interesting.

If the problem gets better, the cel light will go out after 3 or 5 clean starts. The code is still stored though.
Oddly enough, a few weeks ago I had exactly the same code - the light stayed on for about a week and I was going to call George about it. Then it went out and hasn't come back..

the CEL may have also burnt out. If it doesnt come on when you start the car that is the case I believe.1997 VW Golf K2 - Up in Flames

you didn't get off the hook. mine went off for a week or so and then came back on again. i dunno if the crack in the hose or whatever was causing the problem before kinda got plugged or what, but its still going to come back....eventually.
its nothing to worry about anyway so its not a big deal at allTeam Highschool
