I found them a little bouncy with the stock shocks. and yea, a compressor is essential.

I have H&R sport springs and Koni Yellows on order for my MKV.

Since rears have to come out to adjust what should I set them to start with? Full sorf, full hard, 50%?

          The drop is 1.5"

65% stiff is what i heard is optimal.

Can get a spring compressor set for like $20 at princess auto or borrow them from part source or auto value for free... Might also need the 'strut spreader tool'... but mine came out okay without one.

I had Dave (Volkstech) install my H&R Race springs. Did a stellar job for a fair price. You should get in touch with him.

                  Definitely upgrade your struts.

I never had to use a spring compressor to install my koni's. I just left the springs on the shock, and got a new strut mount/bearings.

Sold the stock suspension to a guy in Ontario so I don't care if it screws them up
