    Got broke into

    Hey how easy do people break into MK4 Jetta's? 100% guarentee my car was locked as i am paranoid about it, and stood outside it last night and locked it 4 times. Windows are all intact, lock cylinders all intact.

    Went out to the car this morning and saw some papers out of my car in the snow, noticed that wasn't right, had tons of tracks around my car, SOB!!!!!

    Sirius radio, radar detector and Subs were gone. I guess they forgot my deck and amp??

    Anyways hope everyone is having a better day than i am.

    Honestly it is pretty easy but most people don't bring it up in the forums due to that fact. The good thing is they will never be able to drive your car away due to the immobilizer.

      that sucks man... yeah, getting in to a car isn't that hard. ask and AMA employee. at least the car itself is ok. not much you can do other than put everything away every night, which is a pain in the butt... i leave stuff out more than I should. Jettas trunks lock out pretty good if you lock the seats, so with any luck, at least my sub/amp are kinda safe. Trunk release disables when the doors are opened without a key.

      Probably not a lot you could have done. Alarm would have given them a a little less time to grab and go i guess.

        Was this while you were parked at Alberta Boot? I saw your car there at like 3 30. That sucks though man, just be glad they didn't smash anything up.

          the fact the lock cyclinders werent tampered with is weird, that is the most common way in. if your cylinders were messed when then i would say yes its easy, but i dunno hwo they would otherwise have gotten in

              I'm pretty sure you never saw my car in Calgary, i live in Edmonton. Sucks to be broke into but what can i do? Being mad isn't gonna get anything back, i just hope karma is in a bad mood lately.

                Ohh hah you're right. It was asp gti's car, who's name is ben, so a little mix up there.
