hey guys, quick question... had a little confusion..
well i was going to change the gear oil in my car bla bla bla
i read in the Haynes Manual that the capacity (for gear oil) in a 03 1.8t is 2L.. and even in the instructions it tells you to pour in 2L (it stated the same in another mini-manual for gtis) but when i went to the stealerships to buy the oil... the dude workin there showed me according to their papers and all that the capacity of my car is just under a litre... and since the gear oil comes in a 1L bottle... kinda makes sense... sooo i just wanted to clear this up to be on the safe side... the stealership dude told me i only need that litre and i should be good.... but in 2 manuals, i read i should pour in 2L.. sooo whats the righ thing to do?? how much have you guys used when flushing your oil.... and... if the capacity is
2L is it fine to just pour 1L??? b/c i only grabbed 1 bottle from the good ol' stealership
just needed some feedback from someone whose done this and remembers how much oil they poured....
anyways...
cheers!!
