I think it is a good kit but mising a few parts to make it really "bolt on". If you are thinking of buying one let me know and I will give you the list of parts that you will require that does not come with it (small list but annoying if you don't have them)
Richard
Hey Richard, can you PM me the parts? Im going to order it tomorrow. Graeme and I are going to put it in, and hopefuly we dont have to grind any thing.
Hey Mike
I am sick that week you need to change the clutch... 6 speed weigh too much for this old man! Oh and maybe turn down the boost 24 psi is alot for a clutch with that mileage!

I haven't yet talked to kinetic to find out if my problem with the manifold was isolated or if this is something common. Its a really nice piece, and you can tell it is much less restrictive than the factory manifold, its just a shame we had to grind off part of the casting to make it fit. As Richard said, now that we know how to do it and what is required, we could probably do it in half the time. My total investment was about $1100 for the manifold, turbo and misc hardware. Now keep in mind, I work at the dealership, so I get dealer cost on my parts. Retail pricing it would be closer to about $1400 in parts.
I had a chance to talk to a guy at kinetic today, when I ordered my my parts. He mentioned that the grinding is a very common issue, as the head on every 1.8T is slightly different.

we test fit it on two seperate heads
sounds likea BS story too me... of them failing at making a proper cast.
All of their kits have troubles like that, my down pipe didnt bolt up to my turbo very easily either and required ALOT of grinding to make it fit.
Mitesh, fun n games aside how does the K04 setup feel compared to your stock, much improvement over just having a chip in or were you not even chipped before?
K..
Eric..
Nobody knows everything, but everybody knows something you don't!
I cant speak for Mitesh, but I'm very happy with mine! Considerably more torque than with the K03 and it pulls better in the higher rpms as well. The whole power band is just wider and stronger.
