    holy god the passat 3.6 wagon costs an arm/leg compared to the 2.0t

      Yea but 4motion adds a few thousand plus it has standard features like bi-xenon's which are something like 1500 option on the 2.0T. Not saying it's right, just sayin.

        That is interesting when you considered the new MSRP of the Passat wagon compared to the MSRP of the up comming Jetta wagon posted not too long ago at $24,975 for the base 2.5L.

        I wonder if that means they are going to drop the price of the Jetta wagon?

          Oh yah prices are effective the 15th.

          VERY interested in the Jetta wagon price decrease. My mk4 was almost 30K 6 years ago.

                  Just so you know, VW Credit might be changing the interest rates based on the new prices so you might still be better off the way things are. Ken, we will check to see which scenario works better for you, interest rate or price reduction. Either way all is good!!

                        I have also heard some companies are lowering the MSRP but raising option/package prices so really the deals are not as good as they make it seem.

                            ...Price decreases were also announced on some upcoming 2009 models, including the Jetta TDI, with a drop by $1,200 to $24,275 for the sedan and $25,675 for the wagon, and the Jetta Wagon 2.5, which drops by $1,500 to $23,475 from the prices announced when the models were introduced at the 2008 Montreal Auto Show in January...

                              The rumor is the price on the Passat CC is around $27,000 US to add that in the mix.
