    I'd do the 250w. Some of my friends have those on passats. Easy to install too.

      24V VR6 is the same way, no block heater aval. but VW installs an oil pan heater and it works better. warm coolant means warm block and maybe cyl. but warm oil means as soon as you crank everything is getting lubrication.
