  • Ride on 19's

Is the ride a big difference from 17 to 19" wheels .... I heard that with the 19 i am gonna get some harsh feeling when goinmg over small bumps... is this true... should i just go with 18 and lower my car more:thumbsup:

yea bigger wheels mean less tire which means less air to bounce/ride on.. no biggie.. its up to you.. i would do 18s for our crappy ass alberta roads unless edmonton has nice ones.. ours here are well.. some are buttery some are pure ****

YA Calgary roads are like the Autyobahn compared to the railway tracks we have here.... seems like every 20 feet theres a huge lip or bump i gotta slam the brakes on..... maybe i will just do 18 but 19 will look so damn sweet

it also depends on if the wheels you get are strong.. i know a dude with an integra on 17s and he bent one here on a friggin pot hole that was only like 6" deep (momo wheels too).. some 18s look smaller than they are though and some 19's can look like 20's depending on the style.. i would use the magic 8 ball for your decision or your internal bling bling meter to see which wants what size.. good luck dude

I drive across the city and back to the N.W. about 45km everyday to and from work. It's really not that big a deal. I think the whole big wheel equals bent rims and harsh ride thing is a little exagerated. Naturally, the ride will be a little harsher with a wider wheel, but its nothing that will cause most people any kind of grief. In fact, alot of people who ride in my car don't even realize I have 19's. Like Lsc2g said, no biggie, its up to you.

              Wanna go slow. Use 19".

Good with power output and speed use 17".

Most of a ride's harshness comes from the suspension rather than the rims.
