What's the diff between a beetle and Golf/Jetta?

Just wondering? Suspension and whatnot all the same?? Is it harder to work on than a regular MK4? Does it have it's own set of issues?

Maybe they're totally different and I'm just clueless.

the new beetle is based on the same platform, so its basically a golf

it would be a lot harder to work on, because the body style covers a lot of the space that you would normally be able to work on, IE the fenders pinch on the sides of the engine

i understand that things like under dash and stuff are equally difficult.

all new beetles are mexican made, wheras some golfs and jettas are made in mexico, brazil, and germany.
