  • Changing Engine Speed Sensor?

So thanks to Stefan and his vag com, my electrical problems turned out to be my engine speed sensor is faulty. So i went and picked up a new one from vw ($175 ouch). I tryed to install it this weekend but did not have any sucess. I was curious if any one else had changed one before and could give me any tips?
I did do a search on vw vortex but couldent find much on installling it. I am able to get the top plug undone, but having trouble getting any tools in to undo the bolt that holds in the sensor. Removing the oil filter may give me more room but i thought i would check with you guys first.
    Thanks a Bunch.

remove the filter. it will help i think it is a 5mm allen wrench that's needed. work it out carefully if it's giving you grief. you don't want it to break and give you nothing to hold onto.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3
