  • Anybody heard of this?

Looking for a boost gauge but didn't want the pod on the steering column. Thinking about this which runs on the centre display. Has anyone heard of or have one of these and if so does it do everything it is supposed to. Will attempt to put link in.

I would not mind getting that new set up.

Wow thats really cool. Driving a bone stock 1.8t I have no use for that but if I do any engine modifications down the road I will definetly pick one up.

I have seen things similar for the Mk4's but haven't seen much for the MK5's. The price is definitely better then the ones I have seen but I do wonder what the refresh rate is and where it pulls the boost signal from.

I wouldn't mind taking a look at it before you install it (or if you could take pictures). I have in interest in how it was made from an electronics perspective.

Whoa, keep us posted. I was lamenting that my new GTI wouldn't have the digital speedometer the A3 I testdrove had....but now it can! and then some!

                    Re: Anybody heard of this?

Well, got it today, plugged it in. Tried to set it up and nothing. It won't let me access any menus on the MFD from the steering wheel. Which is a pain as you need to get to the settings menu to configure the module. It also doesn't turn the radio off when you take the key out and leave the car. So, waiting for support via email as they have no phone number.
                    We shall see????

Looks like I should have done some more research, check out MYFASTGTI.com or VWVORTEX.com search "VARIO" and put a couple of hours aside to read about it.

STAY AWAY!!!!! Can't type it large enough. They claim it is my mistake, how can you F-up "plug and play." Claiming now I have to disconnect batt., wait, reconnect, run car, re-install module, if it still doesn't work I apparently messed up. If this doesn't work have the car VAG'd and if that doesn't work too bad so sad, my car must be one of the few that is doesn't work on.

I thought it too good to be true at that price. Similar units for the MK4 go for over $1000. I sure hope you can get your money back though.
