  • Review:Techtonics exhaust

My exhaust on the 97 Jetta was rotten from the cat back so I sourced a new system and the most sensible one was a Techtonics 2.25 " cat back system
Install took and hour total time (removal and installed) did it at work on a lift the old exhaust was so bad it bassically fell off and the new exhaust just bolted in place. Very happy with the sound of it, nice and throaty for a 2.0 when under throttle but when cruising on the highway doesn't drone, has a resonant and a Dynomax muffler .

I agree this system has a real deep tone and not ricey at all. My system has lots of backfire when i back off the throttle and it sounds sick. i got the dynomax muffler and it doesnt make you deaf at highway speeds. it sounds classy. definitly recommend a TT system for 2.0 cars.

Most techtonics cat backs come with either dynomax or borla mufflers. I beleive it's a little bit more for the borla muffler. I have the dynomax one on my mk3 and love it.

The exhaust was $335.00 with the eurodrivers discount at C-1 I got Minute Muffler to put a stainless steel tip on and that was @ $100 with labour in So I didnt think it was to bad for a work car and am very happy with the results

Dave;I am going to go to south centre on Fri if you are interested in listening to it.
