    Thanks for the help guys!
I took pics of the place it happened and called 311 talked to someone and they are setting up a claim once I send in a written version of what happened. so hopefully they are picking up the tab!

Yeah he really is good at helping people out of binds, you just gotta tell him you're in a fix and he makes it happen. Props for tunedub.

Oh the note of Tunedub, when George did my alternator he must've been weaving some sort of magic. Massive props to that guy and his crew.

You might want to page Billip. He trashed a tire and I think rim on his 20th with a huge pothole. I'm not sure if he had any luck getting the city to pay for it.

Yeah, I wrecked a tire a few years ago. It wasn't actually a pothole, but incomplete and unmarked road construction... essentially a large missing piece of pavement which was cut out and left. Stupid. Anyways... the city wouldn't help me, and the company doing the work basically told me to eff off. In the end, I was out $500 for a new tire and hours of my time trying to get them to pay for it.

So my experience so far is that you are pretty damn lucky if you can get the city to pay for anything.

Got the car towed to George this morning and was driving it again by 2:30!! HUGE props to Tunedub for getting this done fast and proper.

Thats nothing. Try getting t-boned while driving through a intersection on a green light. Yeah, I REALLY hate this city now... And dealing with the insurance company is probably worst. :(

Ha try the exact same but with the person not even braking through the intersection and it being a week before your wedding :( Ohh I also agree about dealing with insurance companies, I have to deal with them right now and I swear they phone back for things I have already told them twice.

Insurance put both my mom and myself (when I was still at home) under investigation when our car was stolen, more or less saying were committing insurance fraud… I am currently looking for a new insurance company.
