its like the coolest kindergarten drawing ever but instead of the kid thinking about beaches seagulls and cookie monsters he's got turbos, intercoolers and crazy fast VW's on the mind

oh i am sure i will shoot the odd flame out of the dump. the injectors i am running aren't exactly stock, so it's not uncommon.

The chip is properly tuned, but the odd flame is inevitable

once that $%&*#@ frost plug with the coolant nipple comes out and the new one goes in the SRI and throttle body go on, sensors get hooked up....and off it goes to george.

i'd like to have it to george back late next week, and on the road for April the 2nd

                    correct.

where the hell can i get brass T fittings from? I've checked the usual places with no luck.

I need both the plastic and brass fittings outlined in that diagram on the previous page

The gf flew home today so I could finally get some more work done. I hope to have the car basically ready to go off to the welder for piping and end tank fabrication by the middle of next week to keep on my April 1st timeline.

Spent half the afternoon driving around looking for somewhere that sells black boost tubing. No where I found had it, tried the usual suspects. Going to try Mopac tomorrow morning by phone and see. Same went for brass T fittings in the size I needed. Fucking annoying.

Watched the Canucks game and got some more polishing done. It's starting to shine, need to give it a go over with some Mothers aluminum polishing combpoung when its done to really make it shine but its getting there. At 600 grit now. Need to still do 800, 1000 and some 1500 before its fully done.

Also finally got that damn frost plug out. End up tapping the one end in with a screwdriver which forced the other end out. Then just grabbed some needle nose and pulled it out when the outside edge was exposed. I pulled out the crack pipe and thermostat housing to get enough room. Easy install anyway.

And reinstalled everything with the new frost plug in place.

                      .
I then trimmed down the two rear clips on the fuel rail which no longer will bolt up. They stuck out and would have scratched the surface of the SRI and no one wants that.

Thanks to Alexi's diagram and the help of everyone else I also have a better idea where wiring is going so I labelled a few things with painters tape that will get done tomorrow night.
I would really like to get that damn boost tubing and T fittings so I can button up everything nicely together, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Quick question....how do I get the lower left hand bolt in for the intake manifold? It looks nearly physically impossible to do, due to the placement of the tensioner and the alternator?

Did you get your cruise working? Saw a post on another forum from way back. Sounds like it needs to be soldered? I have soldering skillz if you still need to get it working.

Maybe put the bolt into the manifold loose first before you install it... then you might be able to clear the alternator and tighten it up...

No cruise isn't working. I am really gonna need it now though. What I would like to do is borrow someones cruise control module for 30 minutes to make sure its my module thats toasted. I threw in a different one and am still having the same issue, but when I trouble shot it with Rob everything else was working fine so its weird.

No dice on the install the bolt first rob, I tried for shits and giggles last night. I'm gonna have to undo the alternator slightly to gain the space.

if it's an allen head bolt, stuff some grease in the end and use a wobble allen bit.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3

yeah i gotta find where i can buy one of those

its VERY tight fit. I may just swing the alternator out of the way to bolt it up
