ya, i love driving to bc in the summer. the most fun i ever had in a car. The new section before golden is wicked too. fun when there is no traffic. I always seem to leave super early in the morning to beat traffic and such, im going pretty fast and every once in awhile i would get a fedex semi passing me, ahah they are crazy.

Cant wait till that till June.

i miss the old golden section with the twisties early in the morning. i would just rip down that. almost clipped a mtn goat 2 years ago tho haha it was right in the middle of the road.

its a sick drive. i cant wait for the car to be on the road. hopefully it doesn't take george too long to get everything done.

i just sorted out how to do the wiring for the dump...its gonna be sick

Bloody Canadian weather....gorgeous yesterday, now this:




Anyway I made the call last night got the flat deck ordered so the car was gonna go.

Got it outside...man i miss this thing in the daylight. Can't wait til it's done and I can give it a wash and a cutpolish.




Truck showed up so I got it into the street and loaded up. Who knew the factory tow hook was actually good for something. Luckily I knew where it was otherwise you gotta go under the car onto the steering rack and then it is too low and pulls on the VR lip.

The guy that did it for me was actually a VW owner himself and was stoked to see what was under the hood. Took a great deal of care and didn't let it scrape at all. Big props to AMA for that one, plus it was FREEEEEEEEE. Such a hassle to try and get a flatdeck though. They wanted to know why I needed it, said it wouldn't be covered if it was lowered by me so I told them it was VW european race suspension and they believed me. They wanted to put it on dollies but the rear wheels with the stretch sometimes make contact so I said no to that. They kept this guy on hold for me all morning til the shop was open where it was going. Yeah I officially own a trailer queen right now hahaha.














The guys are gonna pull the front end off and then we are gonna meet on monday afternoon to discuss what needs to be done. HOPEFULLY 5 days....im thinking closer to 8.

It's weird having an empty garage now.

That portion of the #1 is super fun, but can get annoyingly busy.
Have you tried 95 between Radium and Golden? Oh my. Mid summer afternoon, on a Saturday.. passed maybe 10 cars. Just be weary pulling into the lil towns. (2 of them I think)

What all is George doing?

George is going to go over everything and will then fabricate end tanks and intercooler piping, as well as build a testpipe to mount the dump in

ya that drive is great! even better is the castle mountain junction to radium, some great twisties mixed with some nice wide open sections, i love the tight mountain driving! last year i got from calgary to our camping spot in windermere in 2 hours, average speed was about 150-160 on a perfect sunny day with maybe 5 other people on the road the whole way out there, such a fun drive, cant wait to do it again this summer!


hows george doing so far? cant wait to see the car complete, ur gonna have to take some videos when its all done, cant wait to see how this thing sounds!

car is still at the shop.... i hope to have it early this next week but it depends on george's schedule. new lights and EBC have arrived and are ready to go in.
