Hey Guys, i been doing some reading on vortex and i wanted your fella's opinion on this topic. Alot of guys say than making a vent in the fender behind the intercooler on a MK4 jetta makes a big differnce? is this true? Some guys use the auto tech vent or a tt vent, while others are saying just drill some Quarter size holes and call it a day. Those of you with mk4s or previously owned one, have you done anything like this?

Re: Jetta Intercooler fender?
probably wouldnt notice any difference unless your are driving the car hard and have been getting heatsoak on harder drives.
but even then the stock IC is still a piece of crap and making a vent in the fender can only do so much. If you really want to do it get the right vent, the design helps keep debris out of the IC. something a bunch of holes in the liner wont do..

Re: Jetta Intercooler fender?
Why dont you take yours apart and clean it out....it will run much better once its clean and you will notice a little better pull...no need for cuttin the fender!Originally posted by RedMileDon't bug the receiver though, he's far to busy to help you out.Originally posted by Smarty39haha, thanks man...I take it you're the receiver lol?
