Speeding Ticket in BC!!

haha no man i agree.. i'm originally from about 30 minutes west of sylvan and cops out there do ticket you for blue bottles on your trucks, tints, neon lights, anything they can get money from basically.. my buddy with a F150 he has altezzas, 20s, and washer LEDs on it and he gets tons of hassle

This thread gets a big thumbsdown from me...you guys need to grow up. Guy gets busted for breaking the law by a large margin, and turns into insulting and stereotyping all RCMP...Yet I'm sure ALL of you hate getting stereotyped and such by the cops because you drive modified cars...hipocrites.

if a cop busts me for speeding, i take what they give me, but when bored a$$hole cops pull me over, and tells me my headlights and tails are illegal (not true) and makes me roll my windows up to see if they are tinted (they were down when he saw me, and down when he pulled me over) and then makes me peel the tint, then i have a problem with them. this incedent happened on my way to fahrfromhome. he even admitted i wasnt speeding, he pulled me over to see if he could find anything to bust me on.

edit: not that I advocate disrespecting the law, but seriously... he had no reason to pull me over.

yea i agree mike.. when cops give you tickets for doing **** that you don't deserve to get tickets for thats just lame.. i posted before that i've received tickets for **** nobody should ever get ticketed for.. but if you are speeding 50 over then yea you get what you get..

This is why I was upset. I was driving home from Kelowna on the long weekend when we were greeted to a construction zone in Golden which resulted in a lengthy traffic jam and a 3 hr extension to get back to Calgary ( Total 10 Hours ). When the traffic started moving thats when I got ticketed. The cops were waiting for us because they knew we were going to be speeding because of the lengthy jam. I just thought it was a great way for the RCMP to say thank you for spending money in our province, waiting an extra 3 hours and here's a ticket too.

Man I got cought in that stupid Golden "Gong Show" man did that ever suck. I was coming back from Chilliwack. I have never seen anything like that. Having witnessed that in person I can understand your frustration, it was the most frustrating travel experience I've ever witnessed. I was watching for the cops too 'cause I thought that might happen. Speedings illegal, but it sucks to get stuck with something like that after totally getting screwed by BC hi-ways, who's idea was that anyway, construction on a long weekend with all other major roads closed :mrscrewy:

last time i was coming back from BC there was construction in the middle of nowhere and tons of signs saying speeding is bad mmmmkayy and crap like that.. needless to say we passed the line painting guys and got back to AB

you've gotta pay to play. If you willingly tint your windows (everyone knows its illegal) and you get a ticket why exactly are you upset?????

You can have plenty of fun while still being legal. Agreed, I speed like crazy 99% of the time. And when I get busted I'm only mad at myself... I got a "not wearing seatbelt" ticket a month back and yeah, I'm pissed because I got it but its the law I should have been wearing it...

On a side note...
Another thing that pisses me off is how people say "driving is a privilage"... wrong. Can I actually CHOOSE where my tax money goes? no... so I'm paying for roads and cops salaries. Its my right to drive my frigging car.
