Speeding Ticket in BC!!

I got a crazy speeding ticket in BC. They were tracking me on a plane. Crazy eh? :wtf:

The ticket was written soo poorly. My name was spelt wrong, adddress was wrong, the make of the car was spelt wrong. If I was to fight this do I have to contact a attorney in BC? Also what happens if I dont pay this ticket? Im worried about my demerits.

I think if they mispelt your name and got your address wrong then that ticket will probably be dismissed because technically they are not charging you then right? however, they can reissue the ticket though if they want, with the correct information. how fast were you going? you may want to talk to that charlie guy at points and see what he says.

You dont get demeritts that affect your liscence in ab. Your insurance company doesnt know about it, because demeritts system is different in bc. But if you dont pay it, and you get pulled over in bc again, watch out.

I know he only operates in bc, but he may be able to offer some advise on how you can dispute the ticket. If you were able to appear in court on bc you'll get the ticket dismissed no problem. The only problem with that is it's in BC.

if you get a ticket in BC you have to pay it cuz if you go back and they catch you they will impound your car and arrest you. i got one a while ago.. the BC and AB records are semi tied.. my insurance knew about my BC ticket but didn't care and it didn't give me any demerits here.. i would pay it but frick thats crazy high mine was 189 for 33 over right out of the kokahola (sp) into a little shittown with a ton of highway patrol

will they really tow you?? i got a ticket in BC about 4 months ago, and have yet to pay it, but Im going to Vancouver for a week at the end of the month, do you think I should pay it, or leave it, and take the chance?


EDIT: not to mention the 3 parking tickets I recieved last time I was there

mike the only catch is if they actually catch you again speeding and pull you over. If you drive the limit i'm sure you'll be fine however the cops might be dinks about something on your car and pull you over.. I guess it depends on how gutsy or how much cash you have right now.. like is said earlier your insurance and license points here shouldn't matter but i dunno its up to you.

ps.. if you have a rental car i have no idea what they'd do then.. i'm going to BC at the end of the month too for a week or so and I hope I don't get any troubles.

ill be driving the jetta... so im pretty much a target for A$$HOLE RCMPS City police usually tell me I have a nice car. But RC's are donut eating slobs who love nothing more than to hassle those of us with modded cars because they cant afford their own on their crusty federal paychecks
