  • Car warming up slow...

On these colder mornings, i can drive from nw calgary to down town with out my car fully warming up.
Would this be the coolant sensor?
Or is my thermostat stuck open and in need of a new one?

No offense but you start a new post about car problems every other day and everyone asks you what car you have. Try adding it to you sig and maybe updating one thread with your problems and I bet you will get more replies. I would also suggest going a google search and searches here and on the vortex before posting.

Sorry guys, i added my ride to my sig this time. I have done some poking around on vortex and such and sounds like could be the thermostat or the coolent temp sensor. Any ideas of which would be the more likly cause, and should try to reply first?

Do you have heat in the car ?
if yes probably the coolant temp sensor, the easiest and cheapest way to go.
              cheers.

                Re: Car warming up slow...

Yeah the heat does seem nice and warm? I noticed a time or 2 a month back when the temp guage just droped to zero then shot back up to the regular temp. So mabye it is the coolant temp sensor. Ill run over and grab one today because that seems like an easy fix. Thanks

is your temp sensor black? toss it. updated one should be green. those who know better than me can confirm that.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3

                    Re: Car warming up slow...

Yeah i replaced my black sensor last night with a green one. So far i think it might of fixed my problems. The temp gauge seems more accurate. I also replaced my old Dv with a new APR R1 Dv and everything seems good in that department also.
