Have two people help you... less of a chance of the bumper coming off (surprising you) and it getting all scratched up if it were dropped.

umm dont' forget to unplug your side marker lights and two people are helpful although I did mine by myself and it was okay.. umm other than that its pretty easy.. although on my 03 there were like 10 extra torx underneath the stock front valence that was never mentioned in any DIY guide. as for putting it back on there are little guide wedges that you must fit the bumper back into they are located at like the 3/4 mark on each side kinda thing you'll know what i'm talking about when you do it.

I can swap my headlights in a 1/2 hour. For the ones in the wheelwells, don't take of the wheels, turn them.

On the gti, 4 torx 20 in each wheel well, 5 torx 27 under grill, 2 torx 27 behind outside grill pieces. Easy enough, don't drop the bumper.

I'm looking at buying some as well, homemade ones look like ass, believe me they do. I tried, there is a guy on vortex that sells some for like 150 US a set, and then another group that sell fiberoptic ones that can be seen during the day. For the fiberoptic ones they are 300 US a set, but can be seen during the day as well.
