mk4 jetta bumper vents

Does any one know how to get the 3 bumper vents in and out safely? I am currently painting my grill and i might want to paint those also if they come out ok.

They should just pull out, if you put your finger in between the top vane and the top of the grill and push down while pulling they should come right out.

Alright cool thanks. I wanted to ask first before i go breaking a plastic clip or something lol
