  • How to figure out what tire size?

I was just looking at some wheels on tiretrends.ca (thanks Chris for the link) and I saw wheels that were "17 x 7.5". How do I know or figure out which tire sizes will fit on those rims?

My old Monte Carlos were 17 x 7.5 and my winter tires are 225's and they fit fine. Other than that reference, I'm afraid I can't help ya :mrtongue:

You check a giant chart at the manufacterers website. It tells you with size/width and what the end diameter will be.

My rims are 8.5 wide, 17s. Others are 7 inches wide - we both use 225/45 tires to maintain a 25 inch total diameter (altering that is what gives speedo inaccuracies). I could put 215s on my wheels and really give a stretched look - i'd be around 24.899 inches total. Etc...
