        Picked up August 31/02 - 17,500 km.
Mostly summer km's - we go biking in K-Country a lot.
Go VW - best trunk in the auto industry - it can hold two mtn bikes nicely! Plus they were smart enough to have that metal deeley (saved my paint many times...)

Leaving VAG for good... oh well... oh and Blair... looks like you screwed up bad. I wouldn't buy that white BMW if I were you.

Man thats a rough thread makes me a little scared to get a bimmer at all. The shifts are so close compared to our cars makes it easy to run up on the wrong gear, I also went up from 2nd to 5th lots. I am really not sure how much the rpms where.

That's easy to avoid, don't shift from 4 into second!!

Honestly though, that thread....very interesting people on there:mrscrewy: "Money shift"?? Sounds like a lot of little kids trying to show off to their high school buddies. I mean that guy didn't even know what he did!? But that's just my opinion, BMW=sweet that's it. If you get one used, just make sure you spend good money to get it checked out so you know it's solid. I spent a couple hundred on my 'rado, got boost, leak-down, compresion, etc. etc. not to say I haven't had issues with it but I least I know the engine and whatnot are solid.

thats like that one race video I think peter or somebody on here posted it.. it was of a supra or something trying to race an M3 well buddy revved it so high he cracked his block and sent pistons, etc all over the place.. there is also a video floating around of some dumbass in a RSX-s who downshifted from 5-2 and revved it hardcore too.. and i also saw another rsx that 'money shifted' and cracked his block too and left a giant streak of oil,etc on the road.. stupid kids.......
