  • Tdi Mid pipe

    Hey Guys,
I just ordered a tdi Midpipe for the 20th! I figured it might be good for a couple of extra HP's as well as some much needed sound to the old 1.8. Anyone else with any experience with this. The part only cost me $40 and it gets rid of one of the resonators on the factory exhaust...gotta do something!! I'll keep you posted!!
    Cheers

Well, finally installed the TDI midpipe yesterday. I initially thought that it would be a bit louder but at first I noticed no difference. Then, after driving around for a while it seemed to pick up a little more growl. I especially notice the idle seems a little louder. Anyways, the car seems to pull a little better and it doesn't seem to run out of steam as quick as it used to at higher RPM's. Overall, a worthwhile $40 investment!
    Cheers

I heard Derek's exhaust this evening. Damn... it sounds much better then stock. It's not loud... it's more of... well… for the lack of a better word… increased "deep bass(y)" sound! lol

Totally kick-ass for just $40 bucks. I recommend anyone do this mod if you want to stay OEM... but you want more of a deeper... more authoritative sounding tone to your exhaust!
