This deck IMO looks like it would be nice in a Mk4, the colors and lighting seem to be dead on, plus it takes SD memory.

They are a very big/popular company that makes good decks. They made some of the VW OEM decks also.

I had a Blaupunkt in my Mazda back in 93, awesome deck and loved the simple plain look.

That one looks great and the SD is nice too.

they make all the vw navs too, except the new touchscreen one which is made by siemens.

Yea, not sure how far back they go but my friends 65 ghia vert has the original Blau radio.

This one is cool, and it comes with bluetooth so I assume it turns your music down when your phone rings, and it displays on the unit who is calling you...

Bringing this back up, anyone hear anything about the Blau Melbourne deck? Thinking about one as a simple and cheaper option to get some digital music into the Smart as I think they can be had for about $150.

This may also be a good option. It still has the CD option, but also contains a USB port for MP3's.
