Im putting in a new grill on my MK4 Jetta. The one I have now wasnt installed the greatest
Im going with the Carbon fiber one they have at Concept1.
I just wanted to know how easy it is to install one yourself.
    Thanks

    Re: New Grill

This is only my opinion but.......are you planning on getting the hood notch filled? If not (don't blame you it's costly) perhaps look into a grill that incorporates the notch. Taping the little filler in doesn't look that good IMHO.

As far as install though, I think it's pretty straight forward.

        Re: New Grill

Old grill just pops out, new grill snaps in. Some replacement grills screw in at the top but that is also easy. Zip zip with the electric screwdriver and you're done, worst case.

          Re: New Grill

          Seems easy enough.
Yeah I had a couple ideas with the hood notch. Where could I find something to fill it in temporarily (Like what some of you guys have)?

            Re: New Grill

I have another question about the grill. Its hard to see exactly whats behind my front bumper. Im taking the billet out of the front bumper as well and I was wondering if I need to put inserts in there to protect anything.
Could something damage my radiator or is it protected already?
            Thanks
Heres a pic to help explain what im talking about lol

Im taking all the billet out ^

Yeah I know. It did come off a chrysler. Stripetech did it (I dont recommend them). Its unique for sure but it throws off what im trying to do to the car

                  Re: New Grill

you can buy RS4 style mesh from home depot or even just kamei mesh from concept1 and put it behind your bumper no problem

run mesh for sure otherwise your radiator will get a rock in it more than likely
