was driving home today and like 2 minutes from my house my car starts smoking (02 GTI) so i got home popped the hood and coolant was just pouring out up by the rad and kept pouring out until i released the pressure from the rad cap. Any one have any ideas thanks

Maby your water pump

I had the same problem with my 2000 GLS Jetta.

If it's water pump make sure they do the timing belt while there. Same amount of labor.
