New VW Dealership in Red Deer?

I heard that there is a VW dealership in Red Deer that will be opening up shortly.
Anyone heard anything else? Hopefully they will be a bit more helpful then some of the other guys at the dealerships here (no one on here specifically)

Well dealerships are always a controversial topic here.

I like that the people we do have here who work for dealerships have a thick skin about criticisms which are sometimes (possibly not always) unfair. We're a richer forum for having them.

That being said, I think there is still room for much improvement and VW dealerships generally don't have the same satisfaction levels as some other brands, for whatever reason. Calgary is in my opinion not a stellar city in terms of what you can expect.

I'm sure there are legitimate business pressures such as short staffing or overcrowding which do impact service quality and I sympathize.

Some customer common concerns on this forum are obviously mods, warranty coverage (usually legitimate issues), and satisfaction with service when it comes to solving some car problems adequately. For all of these issues, no one person at a local dealership deserves blame when a customer is not 100% satisfied. But I think an overall improvement is possible.

More dealerships can never hurt, since with more competition we may see better effort in all areas of the business.

Do you mean another one? Progress Volkswagen has been there for at least a couple years.

the worst in customer service,it's time for another 3 in the province.
just sold my passat f@@k i hate dealing with idiots.the techs have always been great but the upfront staff sucks.......not to mention the sales staff.
they couldn't sell me a car their heads are so up their asses they don't know which why up. it's not about money but every body is just riding the wave
there is no service.
