  • manufacturers of aftermarket front ends?

Well, my front bumper/valance, call it what you will, is fairly beaten up and im hoping to complete getting the outside looking good this year, using this one as a winter runner and buying a new one for summer mode. to get this one again is a purchase from mexico and to be honest i dont know of any other manufacturers CDN or US that may be decent so can some of you suggest some makes that i can look at to try and find one I like?

If they make any nice ones in canada that may save me some import duty lol

    Cheers,
    K..

Volkswagen makes the Votex line of bumpers, they are OEM quality and look better than stock.

Why not get one of those?

Rieger R-RX was always my favourite front on the Mk4 golf. Another sure fire winner is fitting an R32 bumper.

A site that has lots of bumpers is

I love the Votex front, love it!

Loved the kit on Kris's old Jetta too, one of my faves (don't remember what it was)

Caractere is nice but you have to cut your stock bumper since it is only a half bumper. In this case, he wants a whole new bumper so Caractere won't work.

That being said, I think that other than Votex, Caractere is the highest quality of all brands.

There are a lot of bumpers out there. If you don't plan to get sideskirts or a rear bumper then I caution you to not get anything too aggressive looking. Anything that is really low or has sharp lines or vents or things like that will look silly without accompanying it with aggressive sideskirts and a lower rear valence.

I do have a full body kit on it now with front, sides and rear + lowered but the front has been curbed a lot by the previous owner and is cracked n chipped etc so i just want to replace it with new.

Is the Votex just for Jetta? ive found lots of references to that but none to a golf?

I am no Golf expert but I think maybe its the R-Line which is just the R32 bumper? Really don't know.

You could find a Jetta and switch front ends with them? Be a Votex Jolf.

I second that!!! 2 door jolf is what Ive always wanted to do, but gave up on trying to find a decent GT TDI as I wanted the fuel ecomony.

I thought of recommending the Jetta front but some really hate it. I think it looks ok, but with an aftermarket kit it looks amazing.

I'm still drooling over the Jetta front R32

Gettas are hot too so if your headlights are in good shape, you can maybe find a Jetta to do the swap for free! Then all you need is the Votex Jetta bumper and you're golden.

not trying to persuade you but...........A JTI in the club would be so awesome. It's a bit of work on a mk4 though (as you probably know) but if you found a black car to trade with it might not be so bad (like Kor said).
